    Book details

Herman and Henry, best friends forever, are camping in the great outdoors--and they couldn't be having more fun! Well, at least Herman is enjoying all of the tent building, marshmallow roasting, and postcard writing. Henry doesn't quite seem to get the hang of any of it.

Herman hates seeing his best friend so sad. So he decides to plot a very secret, very special surprise and do whatever it takes to make sure Henry has the best vacation ever!

This fabulously funny story about friends who stick together is chronicled through vibrant illustrations and lift-the-flaps.

This is the second Tom Percival book which I have purchased as I find this author has a beautiful writing style and illustrations are also captivating for kids. A lovely story, loved by kids of all ages (mine are between 3 and 9 and they all love this story again and again). Would recommend, will be looking for other stories written by this author.

Wonderful book - beautiful language, lovely pictures, a sweet message about friendship... and about not everybody liking camping in the wild to the same extent ;-). It starts a little abruptly for someone who doesn't have the first book and doesn't know about Henry and Herman's long friendship - that's my main complaint because I bought it also for a child who hasn't read the first book... My daughter loved it, she loved the first one too. If you already have the first one, do buy this one. If you have none, buy Herman's Letter.
