Every sorority has its secrets...And college freshman Ginger Carmichael couldn't care less. She has more important things on her mind, like maintaining her perfect GPA. No matter how much she can't stand the idea of the cliques and the matching colors, there's something about the girls of Alpha Beta Omega their beauty, confidence, and unapologetic sexuality that draws Ginger in. But once initiation begins, Ginger finds that her pledge is more than a bond of sisterhood, it s a lifelong pact to serve six bloodthirsty demons with a lot more than nutritional needs. Despite her fears, Ginger falls hard for the immortal queen of this nest, and as the semester draws to a close, she sees that protecting her family from the secret of her forbidden love is much harder than studying for finals.

After years of meddling in her friends' love lives, Rebekah turned to writing romance as a means to surviving a stressful professional life. She has worked in various positions from library assistant, meter maid, middle school teacher, B movie production assistant, reality show crew chauffeur, D movie producer, and her most fulfilling job to date, lube and harness specialist at an erotic boutique in West Hollywood. Her interests include Wonder Woman collectibles, cookies, James Taylor, quality hip-hop, football, American muscle cars, large breed dogs, and the ocean. When she's not working, writing, reading, or sleeping, she is watching Ken Burns documentaries and cartoons or taking dance classes. If given the chance, she will cheat at UNO. She was raised in Southern New Hampshire and now lives in Southern California with an individual who is much more tech savvy than she ever will be. Better Off Red is her first novel.

There's a lot of sex in this. If that's not your cup of tea then move along right away. If however, you don't mind some hot group sex which devolves into a rather sweet and emotionally engaging love story between the two main characters, then this might be right up your street. I found it a particularly interesting twist that when the vampires feed, their 'feeders' get just as much enjoyment from the experience as do the vampires...in a wholly different way! Read it to find out what I mean!Reminiscent in style for me of Annette Mori's "Live Forever, Love Forever", but only because I read that first - this pre-dates it.I liked this a lot!

This was a (mostly) light, fanciful, often silly, rather cute read.Written well enough to fall into the 4.5 to 5 star category for me, I found myself enjoying this book very much. The characters were interesting and likable (except the ones that we were not meant to like, obviously), the dialog in keeping with the characters, ages, and situations. The premise was fun, the execution of it pretty near perfect (for me) even though it was somewhat predictably predictable.Though the book began with a tad too much silliness and sexy shenanigans (and silly sexy shenanigans), the further I got with the book the more the story evolved, the emotions became more prominent, and the depth grew. The latter parts of the book jarred a bit with the beginning, as it threw in some fairly heavy complications and emotional situations that aren't normally found in what basically starts out as an erotic novel. It took a while to adjust to the change of pace, but in the end I found it only added to the overall enjoyment of the book.Of course, I couldn't possibly comment on an 'erotic novel' without mentioning the romance and the sexy parts. The romance - though hastily embarked upon - was sweet, sexy, and believable. It was very, very cute in fact, but not in a bad way. The intimate scenes certainly achieved what they were probably written to achieve - titillating in parts, sensual in others, emotional in some, gratuitous here and there, but overall very well written. The growing affection and romance between the two main characters played out perfectly. And have I mentioned how much I really liked Ginger and Camila?I was completely surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I thought it was going to be a quick, silly, somewhat entertaining jaunt into fantasy territory, but I definitely got more than that out of it.

This could have been ALOT shorter, a interesting story was there.. hidden deeply though.. the main protagonist wasn't my cup of tea at all though and I grew bored frequently.. ended up finishing this out of sheer determination. rather than interest or enjoyment which was a shame.

This book is an erotic romance, but there is a love story. The main characters Ginger and Camilla meet when Ginger who is at university is convined by her friend to join a sorority. After cruising some tables they come across Alpha Beta Omeaga. Ginger has been questioning her sexuality lately, and her adoptive family urge her that maybe this is what she needs. At a house party she sees Camilla and can't get her out of her mind. She gets an invatation to join, we she and her friend Amy do.It is then they find out, this isn't your ordinary sorority. The sorority is a sorority of vampires, who if they argree to join they will feed them. Even knowing this Ginger is still drawn to Camilla, who she finds out is the queen of the house. Camilla tells Ginger she shouldn't of been able to see her the night of the party, because she was clocked by her powers. But she did see her. We find out a bit about Gingers past in this book. There is lot of sex in this book, for excample after they pledge themself to the house there is then a full on orgy. Although when Ginger and Camilla have sex for the first time they are on theri own and it happens very early into the book. There are plenty of secondary characters in this book, asnd the one who stuck out the most was Cleo, who I think the next book in this series centers around. Blacker Than Blue: Vampire Sorority Sisters Book 2
